Meet Our Master Butchers at Darts Farm

To celebrate National Butchers’ Week, we absolutely had to shout about our incredible butchers down at Darts Farm. They provide us with the freshest cuts that you’ve come to adore here at Harry’s.

Our specially selected meats are prepared into mouth-watering dishes on our lunch and dinner menu. Find their sustainability reared Ruby Red beef in our starters and mains, from steak tartare to a 200g fillet steak. Once you’ve tasted it, there won’t be any room left for disappointment (but maybe some space for pud?).

Darts Farm is located nearby in Topsham. We believe that supporting our local community and using their produce in our restaurant is what’s important about running our place. Plus, they’re so good, we wouldn’t want to go anywhere else and we hope neither would you.

Why Ruby Reds? They’re a breed of cow that’s native to Devon. Darts Farm’s objective is to produce meat of uncompromising quality, in harmony with nature. The low density of the cattle that graze our wetlands and the resulting permeant pasture on the banks of the River Clyst is one of the most effective forms of carbon sequestration on the planet. Our master butchers use Himalayan rock salt to dry-age our beef for 35 days before arriving at our doorstep. This is what gives the enhanced flavour and incredible tenderness.

Don’t just take our word for it… One of our customers recently left us a review saying “The food was absolutely phenomenal. We both said it was the best steak we have ever eaten and we were left feeling fully satisfied, not only with the incredible food but with the amazing service given as well.”
